MILLER FINDS VICTORY LANE

Wells Vermont's Donnie Miller found his way to Victory Lane at

Devils Bowl Speedway last Sunday in the Budget Sportsmen

Division.  The Bowl returned to asphalt racing this season for

the first time in over 30 years at the West Haven half

mile speedplant.

Rutland's Dana Nelson defends Courtney Saheim (#14)

of Mount Anthony in Bennington on Tuesday. The Raiders

took a 9-7 lead at the beginning of the second half only to

see their lead and season slip away as the #1 seeded

Patriots  rallied for three goals in the last six minutes of the

game for a 10-9 win. Rutland's goalie, Colleen Hunt had a

superb game for the Raiders making numerous saves to keep

Rutland in the game. Pictures of the game will be

posted on Wednesday evening.

In Hinesburgh the Rutland boys team ran into a strong foe in #1 seed

CVU and fell hard 13-1. ending their season in the semis.

RAIDERS SOFTBALL ADVANCES

Rutland's Emily Kulig beats out a bunt to load the bases in the

sixth inning against a stubborn CVU Red Hawks softball team.

The bunt proved instrumental as the Raiders tallied two runs

in the frame to advance to the D-I Quarterfinals

by a score of 2-0.

THE "JETT" WINS ANOTHER ONE AT FONDA

Castleton Vermont's very own Johnny "The Jett" Scarborough has been to

victory lane TWICE this season at Fonda Speedway in New York.

John won his third last Saturday night at the Track of Champions.

There is a very large following of Vermonters that still race on the

dirt in New York.
