Castleton Hockey Slides to #4 Norwich still 1 Castleton Men Fall to Norwich

SPARTANS DEFEND TITLE 4-3
The Castleton Spartans had a little gut check this afternoon during the 5th annual Rutland Herald Tourney held at the Spartan arena in Rutland. The team had their hands full with an up start pack from Morrisville New York but were able to hold off the Mustangs 4 to 3 in a nail biting third period. In the pic above the team celebrates their second title in as many years. Castleton to defend Title against Suny Morrisville

HARTFORD, FAIR HAVEN, and WOODSTOCK Win Football Titles
The Class of Vermont D-I football, The Hartford Hurricanes did a number on the MiddleburyTigers in the second half of the Vermont Division I Football finals held in Castleton on Saturday afternoon. THE SPARTANS WIN RHI TITLE
The Castleton Mens Hockey team got the monkey off their backs this year and finally won their own Hockey tourney. The Spartans used some nifty goaltending and a big defensive effort to secure their first title in 4 trys. With the win Castleton improved to 4 and 0 on the young hockey season and host a big ECAC East weekend next week with Bowdin and Colby coming to town .
